Change through Education

Sana’a, Yemen – In Yemen, 11% of children between the ages of 5 and 11 are involved in child labor. Many of them live in the streets. According to UNESCO, only 40% of children are enrolled in secondary school. To help address this issue, the Yemen Education and Relief Organization (YERO), founded in 2003, facilitates access to education for children of impoverished families including street children.
