Rafah, Egypt/Gaza – On January 23rd 2008, Hamas bombed the wall in Rafah at the border between Gaza Strip and Egypt. Immediately, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians – more than 750,000 according to the UN  – started crossing the border to get fresh supplies in Egypt and survive to the Israeli blockade.

A metal fence twisted on the ground, torn barbed wire, a barrier of policemen, a Palestinian flag fluttering in the wind, cries, a ceaseless flow of people: this was the crossing point between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.
